ACORN project

Project overview

The Anaesthetic and Pain Management Research team will be working with paediatric clinicians, GP’s, anaesthetists, patients and family members to identify the key focus areas for future research in Down Syndrome/Trisomy 21 and Chronic Pain patients.

In two separate streams and through a series of online surveys and a consensus workshop, we will work with consumers to compile their top 10 priorities. These research priorities will guide our future projects in PCH and the wider anaesthetic and clinical care of patients.

We will also disseminate these lists more broadly to our national and international paediatric colleagues. These research priorities lists have the potential to change the future of research and clinical care for these patients.
