Becoming a Q fever vaccination provider
Whilst there is no longer a formal requirement for Q fever vaccination providers to complete accreditation or a competency framework, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine's Q Fever - Early Diagnosis and Vaccination (external site) online training module is highly recommended for all providers who administer Q fever vaccine.
Ordering the Q fever vaccine
Immunisation providers first need to place a request for supply to Seqirus CSL.
The Seqirus CSL Customer Service team will contact the provider to arrange for a purchase order to be placed via the provider’s preferred wholesaler.
Vaccine administration and pre-vaccination testing
Health care professionals (HCP) wishing to access information on Q Fever vaccine administration and pre-vaccination testing should go to the
Q fever facts (external site). To access the portal HCP’s can register with their AHPRA number (go to the 'Healthcare Professional Log In' button at top right of the page).
