The Perth Children’s Hospital’s Artist in Residence Program is an important part of the annual Arts and Health program of activities that provides a range of creative activities for patients and positively impacts the learning, health and wellbeing of patients, families and staff at the hospital.

In 2018 and 2019, the Artist in Residence at PCH was Steven Aiton, who provided animation workshops with patients at Perth Children’s Hospital over 10 months from July 2018 to April 2019.

The Artist in Residence (AIR) program was presented by the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) in partnership with the School of Special Educational Needs: Medical and Mental Health (SSEN:MMH) and the Fun on Four team at PCH.  The project was funded by the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and their funding partners Little Athletics, Market City and Austunnel.

The animations created during the Perth Children’s Hospital Artist in Residence (AIR) Program will be screened in the Fun on Four Cinema (on Level 4) at PCH from 12.30pm -1pm daily throughout June.

Further details about the program are available by contacting the PCH Art Curator & Art Program Coordinator or downloading the poster.
