Accommodation

There are four types of accommodation available for PCH patients, families and carers.

Bedside accommodation

Sofa bed in standard inpatient room

One adult or carer may stay overnight in their child’s room. Each room has a family zone that includes a day bed, ensuite bathroom, general power outlet with USB charging port and a personal safe.

Parent Accommodation Facility

Parent Accommodation Facility

Managed in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia, the Parent Accommodation Facility includes five 12 double bed ensuite rooms.

These rooms are for:

  • parents and carers of critically unwell and palliative patients
  • breastfeeding mothers of sick babies
  • Royal Flying Doctor Service unplanned admissions
  • parents or carers of transplant patients
  • those from rural or remote areas.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit parent suites

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on Level 3 includes five double-bed ensuite rooms for parents of critically unwell babies and postnatal mothers. Please speak to the Nurse Coordinator on your Ward for more information. 

Ronald McDonald House

Families or carers who live more than 100km away from PCH may be eligible to stay at Ronald McDonald House. Located on Monash Avenue, this house contains 47 rooms and two play areas, and is a short five-minute walk from the hospital. Find out more here
