Location

In the front undercroft of PCH, in front of the Main Entrance and Emergency Department entrance.

Entry

From both sides of Hospital Avenue - there is a northern entrance and southern exit (one way only).

• 15 minute bays
• 30 minutes for ACROD pass holders, no maximum height.

Basement carpark at PCH (open 24/7)

Location

The southern end of PCH, north of the ambulance entry.

Entry

From Hospital Avenue, closest to the southern end.

Best access to

Emergency Department and the inpatient wards (via the Green lifts).

ACROD bays

25 ACROD bays are available at a 2.5m overhead clearance.

Car Park 1 (open 24/7)

Location

Car Park 1 is on the ground level, north of the QEIIMC Multi-Deck Car Park. 

Entry

Enter via the QEIIMC Multi-deck Car Park, from the traffic lights on Winthrop Avenue. Turning right through the boom gates, drive straight through on ground floor to outdoor carpark, following the signs for visitor parking.

Best access to

All areas of the hospital.

ACROD bays

Bays available at a 3.4m overhead clearance.

Bays are also available on ground level by entering via the left lane and turning left.

Car park 7 (open 24/7)

Entry

From either direction on Hospital Avenue.

Best access to

• Emergency Department
• Wards
• Outpatient clinics.

ACROD bays

Bays for ACROD vehicles over 3.4m (this is an open air carpark).

Parking charges

Private patient parking

Parents and carers who have their children admitted to PCH and are covered under private health insurance can access free daily parking vouchers.

For families of children with complex health conditions that require multiple hospital visits, a discounted parking rate is available for some carparks at QEIIMC.

If you’ve parked in Car Park 1 at QEIIMC and would like a lift, you can travel in quick comfort by hopping aboard one of our two transport shuttles.

Just by calling 0436 595 295, you can hitch a lift with equipment (including a wheelchair) or belongings from Car Park 1 to PCH Main Entrance or Emergency Department and back again between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and 8am and 4pm on weekends.

To support families during their visits and at admission and discharge, our Volunteer Concierge is able to assist you to travel in and out of the hospital.

This service runs from 8am to 8pm weekdays, and 8am to 4pm on weekends.

You can call for a taxi on phones in the corridor between the Atrium and Emergency Department on Ground Level. 

There is 15 minute patient set down parking near the main entrance of PCH and the Emergency Department where you can be collected.

There is also a taxi rank outside Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (E Block) on Hospital Avenue. Taxi phones are also located at this rank. 

Bus

Train

The closest train station to PCH is Shenton Park, 2km away on the Fremantle line. At Shenton Park station, catch the 999 bus to the Hospital Avenue QEII Medical Centre stop.

If you wish to walk or cycle to PCH, there are many pathways and cycle routes you can use and we provide bicycle racks close to the hospital’s main entry.
