Family Resource Centre

Located near the northern entrance on Ground Level, the Family Resource Centre (FRC) is a relaxing place for families to visit during their child’s outpatient appointment or stay in hospital. 

Managed through a partnership between the Child and Adolescent Health Service and Ronald McDonald House Charities WA (RMHC WA) (external link), the Family Resource Centre has friendly and knowledgeable staff and volunteers to assist parents and carers with any queries, practical support and assistance they may need. It also offers the following facilities and amenities:

  • Computer and internet access
  • Television
  • Kitchen and dining facilities, including a microwave and high chair
  • A child and adolescent changing facility
  • Mobile phone and device charging station
  • PEG feeding facilities
  • Private parenting room
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Free resources and information about child health and wellbeing
  • Free tea and coffee.
Kalparrin are also located in the Family Resource Centre, providing information, resources, peer support and family events for parents raising children with disability, developmental delay, genetic, chronic medical or health conditions.
