Coming for an operation
Under the new guidelines from the WA Department of Health, children must undergo a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for COVID-19 when they arrive to have an operation at PCH.
Pre-operative Rapid Antigen Testing
The RAT will be completed as part of the entry screening process at PCH. A test result will be returned in 15 to 20 minutes. Please make sure you allow for an additional 30 minutes to complete the test before your scheduled arrival time.
Please be aware that the essential visitor accompanying their child may also be required to complete a RAT on arrival.

- Give any other information required about the surgery or procedure.
- One essential visitor (parent or guardian) is allowed to accompany and stay with their child during their stay.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled arrival time.
