Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights in WA
WA refers to the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights which describes the rights that you, or someone you care for, can expect when receiving health care.
These rights apply to all people in places where health care is provided in Australia. This includes public and private hospitals, day procedure services, general practice and other community health services.

Mental health patients
The Mental Health Act 2014 mandates a separate charter for patients receiving psychiatric treatment, the Charter of Mental Health Care Principles (external link).
