Gynaecology
Who we are
PCH’s Gynaecology Service is part of the hospital’s General Surgery Department.
Gynaecological conditions in young people who are 15 years old or under may be managed in conjunction with the Adolescent Gynaecology service at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) (external site). This is assessed on a case-by-case basis and the treating hospital is determined according to patients’ clinical condition.
PCH does not provide services for pregnant adolescents. Where required, young people are referred to maternity services at KEMH.
For further information, please see General Surgery.
For more information on preparing for your child’s operation or procedure, please refer to the parent information under Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine.
