ACE app (Access, Care and Empowerment)

ACE (Access, Care and Empowerment) is a mobile app for people who inject drugs to help reduce harm to themselves and others. It provides:

  • Access: find WA needle and syringe programs and other health services
  • Care: search information on how to take care of your health
  • Empowerment: be informed about reducing harms to yourself and others.

Key features

  • WA maps of services for people who inject drugs and others at risk of blood-borne viruses, including:
    • needle and syringe programs (NSP)
    • pharmacies offering NSP
    • needle and syringe exchange programs (NSEP)
    • needle and syringe dispensing and vending machines
    • community alcohol and drug services
    • naloxone sites
    • health prescribers for treatment of HIV and Hepatitis B, and prescription of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV
  • Harm reduction information such as:
    • safer injecting practices
    • education on blood-borne viruses
    • vein care
    • overdose information
    • referrals
    • support services and self-care strategies to reduce the impact of methamphetamine and other drug use on the individual and others.

  • The ACE app has been designed with a high level of security. No personal data is stored on your device or browser.
  • If at any time you feel uncomfortable, simply press the home button on your app to exit.
