The Paediatric Medicine Information Service provides free advice and assistance on various medication-related topics for the general public and healthcare professionals.

Our pharmacists are available via this dedicated phone service to answer any questions you may have regarding your child’s medications.

This can include:

  • new medicines
  • side effects
  • interactions
  • administration
  • stability
  • dosage
  • missed medication

The advice provided is reliable, accurate and evidence-based, and provided by our team of highly experienced pharmacists who specialise in child health.

Please note: Paediatric Medicine Information Service does not provide advice in the case of known or suspected poisoning. If you suspect your child has been poisoned, please contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In the event of an emergency, call 000 or report to your nearest emergency department.
