Digital artwork gets an upgrade
Digital inter/active artwork at PCH
The digital interactive artwork located on Ground Level at PCH recently received an upgrade with new technology and interactive scenes.
Created by VJ Zoo artists Kat Black and Jasper Cook in 2016, the inter/active digital artwork was commissioned as part of the opening of PCH.
The upgrade has seen new screens and software that allow for a remastering of the original screens to provide a higher resolution and more interactive experience for kids and families at PCH.
There are five interactive scenes that regularly rotate through:
- Robot dance off
- Views from a moving vehicle in Kings Park
- The Mermaid and the Diver
- My Butterfly
- Space Dust.
The artists’ have shown keen attention to detail with inclusion of Australian flora in the My Butterfly scene, a thriving coral reef in Mermaid and the Diver and a whole new galaxy to explore in Space Dust.
