Who we are

The PCH Dermatology Department provides specialist inpatient and outpatient services for children and adolescents with complex skin, nail and hair conditions.

Conditions we manage

We see children and young people with a range of dermatological issues, including rarer conditions that may be present at birth or develop later in childhood.

Services we provide

As well as providing specialist dermatological diagnosis, treatment and surgical services, we also work with other medical teams as part of a multidisciplinary approach.

Our outpatient services include general dermatology clinics, a pulsed dye laser service (mainly used to treat vascular lesions) and a combined genetics dermatology clinic.

Referrals to the Dermatology Department will be accepted from general practitioners or by internal referral from other PCH specialties. A clinician assesses each referral, which will be prioritised according to clinical need.

Inpatients: Consultation services when needed.
